Truth exists on two planes - created/discovered truth and revealed truth. A lot of the truth encountered in education in the traditional school system via school subjects, is classified as created/discovered truth. The revealed truth comes to us through the work of the Holy Spirit. The things of human beings are known by the spirit of human beings and the things of the spirit by God's Spirit.
We believe that the learner is created in the image of God, and possesses spiritual, mental, and physical dimensions, and is a rational being with the power of choice, and a unique and developmental being with an intellect that seeks to know. The learner has an immense capacity to discover created/discovered truth as well as receive revealed truth. In that sense, all learners are alike and possess some common characteristics. On the other hand, all learners are naturally and severally endowed with distinct capabilities that make them unique and different from all others.
There is value in the development of mental, moral, and spiritual growth, a cultivation of civic knowledge and moral and ethical virtues for responsible citizenship as well as providing for the basic skills needed for work rather than particular job training for a single occupation. Providing insights into the good, true, and beautiful through Biblical principles and the humanities is of value to the individual and society.
